For as long as I can remember, I’ve ALWAYS wanted to visit Seattle. I absolutely love everything about the city (even though I had never been before this year), most of all, its proximity to beautiful mountains, trees and waterfalls. I’m so grateful that Alyssa and Michael’s elopement day gave me the opportunity to visit for awhile! While I was hoping to see some classic overcast Seattle weather, we actually had FULL sun for this mountainous elopement! Nevertheless, this bride and groom rocked their photos.

Alyssa is a fellow wedding photographer from Texas and knew she wanted something completely different for her wedding day. Nothing fancy, overly detail oriented, and most of all, nothing stressful! Her and Michael LOVE the Seattle area, particularly Snoqualmie Falls, so that’s where they decided to say their I Dos.

After the ceremony, we headed from Snoqualmie down to Franklin Falls for the rest of their photos. It might’ve been 80 degrees at Snoqualmie, but there was still some snow left at Franklin! Once we hiked down to the waterfall, Alyssa and Michael decided not to care about whether or not they got soaked or muddy. But took each other’s hand, braved the freezing water and looked AMAZING doing so. I’m forever grateful for trusting clients!

This elopement day reminded me of just why I love these kinds of weddings so so much. There’s little to NO stress. Just the bride and groom, and sometimes a few close family members there to celebrate. No one’s stressing about timeline or details that don’t matter in the scheme of things.. the focus is 100% on what the day means. Two souls joining together forever in love.

Here’s a few of my favorites from Alyssa and Michael’s adventurous Seattle elopement day. <3
