LET'S DIVE RIGHT IN

Chances are, you're in the beginning stages of wedding planning. You've decided on a date, secured your venue, and are now wanting to cross the next few major vendors off your to-do list before they're booked. You either have a working budget spreadsheet or have given your planner a general idea of what you want to invest, but maybe a few numbers need to be adjusted because your dream florals are slightly out of season on your date.

You've probably heard the phrase, "once the last piece of cake has been eaten, the last glass of champagne sipped, the last guests leave, and the flowers have wilted... your preserved dress, the memories, and photos are all that is left." And that couldn't be more true!

While you are probably focused on all the pre-wedding details right now, I'd encourage you to think of the POST-wedding details. After the celebration, the photos are what is left. And all the time and money invested into your dream celebration should be preserved by a photographer who can capture those details and moments in a way that resonates with you.

I'm not the cheapest photographer

BUT I'M A PRETTY GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER

And I'll allow you to have peace of mind that your wedding day will be captured in an unscripted, whimsical way that will allow you to relieve your wedding day magic for decades to come.

MY APPROACH TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN MOST

(So you're probably going to want to read this...)

No choosing from multiple photography collection options.

No stress about how many hours of photography coverage you'll need when you've JUST booked your date/venue and haven't even thought about timeline yet.

No doing math (yuck) to figure out potential savings from each collection.

No worrying about whether I'll be there for the important moments.

After years of offering options ^^^ that way, I've found there is a far better way. For you, and for me. Because we both want the same thing. You want me to be there to document your day well. And I want to tell your story well.

So that's why I offer ONE wedding collection:

THE WEDDING STORY

Your wedding story. Told well.

Coverage from the final moments of getting ready, to venue details, to first looks, to I Dos, to sunset portraits, to cocktail candids, to first dances, to jump-in-the-pool-after-dark celebrations.

I'll be there to document all of it.

And if you need something a little different we can create something completely custom!

If this all sounds good so far, read on for more pricing details!

Moab, Utah destination elopement film photography by Kristen Kaiser

Everyone desires to have their story told in a way that truly portrays the value + emotion of their life at a given time – and ours, in this season, happens to be a story of redemption, freedom + love. We knew we weren't just 'hiring' Kristen, but choosing to make an investment... in us, for our day. Our wedding day photographs are a treasure. Now those precious once-in-a-lifetime moments aren't just memories running through our minds but moments captured. Tangible reminders of… redemption, freedom, + love. Our story was a story well told.

frequently asked questions

What is your style?

I blend both editorial and documentary styles to give wedding images a unique style and feel. A modern twist inspired by vintage film photography, if you will.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

This is my 8th year full time! I quit my day job in public relations in 2015 when I shot my first wedding and I've never looked back.

How many weddings have you photographed?

I stopped counting after 150.

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot on a mix of vintage film cameras (mostly 35mm point & shoot) as well as professional Sony bodies & lenses.

I love the film look, but how does that work with our galleries? Is film included?

Yep! All film processing & scanning is included in all wedding and elopement collections. If it's been awhile since you've been to a 1-hour photo, film processing & scanning means your film negatives being processed and developed by my professional film lab and then scanned into a digital format that flows seamlessly into your final wedding gallery. I shoot both digital and film so you'll have a good mix of both.

Do you back up your images?

Yes & yes & YES. All your images are backed up onto multiple external drives as well as cloud drives. All film rolls are overnighted to my professional film lab and memory cards are not cleared until wedding delivery.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I live in Holland, Michigan on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. I love local weddings but my bags are always packed, passport always updated, and I travel for about 80% of my weddings. When you reach out, I'll give you a custom travel quote based on where your nuptials are being held. I book all my own travel to make things super easy.

How many images do you deliver?

A lot! Depending on how many hours of coverage, events, etc., you can expect 300+ images for weddings, 200+ for elopements/micro weddings, and 60+ for couples sessions.

How do we book you?

Fill out the contact page (or email me directly kristen@maudlinco.com) and I'll respond with my availability and schedule a phone consult if I'm open on your date. I require a 50% retainer and signed agreement in order to reserve your date. I receive new inquiries every day so I'll need both of these in order to block off your date. The remaining 50% is due 1 month prior to your wedding date.

What is included in your collections?

Every collection includes a consultation, timeline assistance, coverage by yours truly, an online viewing/download gallery, film processing/scanning, and reprint rights.
